KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks to watch for on Friday after recent corporate announcements include Censof, DNeX, Berjaya Food , Aemulus , SP Setia and Green Packet, says JF Apex Research.

       Censof has disposed of five million shares in DNeX for RM5mil on the open market which sees it making a profit of RM1.2 million on its investments.

       The original cost of investment for the shares was RM3.8mil.

       Censof said proceeds from the disposal will be used for working capital within the next 12 months.

       Berjaya Food’s net profit more than tripled to RM38.88mil for the second quarter ended Dec 31, 2021, from RM11.12mil a year prior, on the back of higher revenue, coupled with an improved performance from its Kenny Rogers Roasters operations.

       Aemulus is looking to inject capital into Tangming Shengshi Technology (Jiashan) Co Ltd (TMSS), which is involved in the development and sales of semiconductor equipment and the provision of design consultancy services.

       S P Setia, through its subsidiary Setia HC Ventures Sdn Bhd, has signed an agreement with Qualitas Medical Group Sdn Bhd to jointly develop and operate Ambulatory Care Centre in Setia Alam, Shah Alam.

       Green Packet’s newly emerged largest shareholder Leong Seng Wui has joined the company’s board as executive director effective Thursday (Feb 10).

       Leong’s appointment came after the group’s co-founder Puan Chan Cheong sold his stake in Green Packet and resigned from the board on Jan 31.

       Meanwhile, JF Apex expects the FBM KLCI to retrace to the support of 1,500 points as investors take profit from the rally.

       This comes following a plunge on Wall Street overnight as bond yields spiked after higher-than-expected inflation data.

       In Europe, stocks declined sharply after US inflation hit 7.5%, the highest in four decades.
