The Duke of Sussex could be set for another return to the UK to baptise his baby daughter - in line with royal tradition. Lilibet Diana was born was born on June 4 in Santa Barbara. Harry and Meghan Markle announced the news two days later.
The Sussexes would be following in Prince Charles’ footsteps as he chose Windsor for Prince William’s christening ceremony.
But a royal source told Eden Confidential Harry is in no rush to baptise his younger child.
They claimed: “Harry told several people that they want to have Lili christened at Windsor, just like her brother.
“They are happy to wait until circumstances allow.”
Since Lilibet’s birth, speculation has been rife over whether Harry and Meghan will choose to christen her in the UK alongside members of the Royal Family.
Royal commentator Daniela Elser said the couple could significantly improve their relationship with the Royal Family if they did so.
The event would mark Meghan’s first trip to the UK since March 2020.
In a comment piece for news.com.au, Ms Elser wrote: "If the Sussexes were to decide they wanted the christening to happen back in the UK, perhaps even in September when it has been rumoured that both Harry and Meghan will return to London, then it would be construed as an olive branch after years of intra-family squabbling and rancour."
