Have you ever thought of checking the FCDO list before travelling?
Well it could be a smart move as it turns out ignoring it could void your travel insurance and leave you without consular support in an overseas emergency.
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has issued various travel warnings, including advice against "all travel" to 10 countries and "all but essential travel" to entire countries or specific areas within multiple countries.
Parts people have been told they should not travel to include popular destinations such as Tunisia, India, Thailand, Turkey, and Mexico amongst others.
Among the 226 countries or territories with foreign travel advisory pages, 73 are currently flagged as having areas of high-risk due to security concerns, health hazards, and legal inconsistencies with the UK, the Independent reports.
