JOHOR BAHRU: There is much to do in assisting local traders in Johor Jaya to take their businesses online, said Barisan Nasional candidate Chan San San.
The-first-time MCA candidate, who will be taking on the Johor Jaya state seat, wants to take up this task as well as creating more jobs and giving free tuition classes to locals.
Chan also pledged to ensure women's rights are upheld, preventing domestic abuse cases and to improve the environment of the Johor Jaya community.
Chan said locals must vote for parties who can ensure a stable future, as it is a vital factor in ensuring continuous development in Johor.
The Barisan Nasional first-time candidate also said that the main points of her campaign pledges include strengthening the local economy, education, encouraging community development and ensuring locals have a better quality of life.
"I hope that through my campaign pledges, I will be able to explain clearly to voters regarding the future of Johor Jaya and my determination to work hard to promote development in this area," said Chan in a statement on Saturday (March 5).
Chan is locked in a four-cornered fight in Johor Jaya between Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) Chen Hain Kai, DAP's Liow Cai Tung, and Perikatan Nasional's Datuk Dr Ker Ching Sheng.
Johor Jaya was previously won by Liow with a 15,565 majority in 2018.
The Johor state election is on March 12.
