GEORGE TOWN: To encourage more Malaysians to get vaccinated against Covid-19, several food companies have come up with enticing offers.Sri Ananda Bahwan (SAB) group managing director V. Harikrishnan said people who had gotten both doses of the vaccine would be given free chicken briyani and teh-O.

       “All they have to do is flash their digital certificate at any of our 12 outlets to receive the food, ” he said, adding that the promotion aimed to promote awareness among Malaysians on the importance of getting vaccinated against Covid-19.

       The offer is valid from now to July 4. Each customer can redeem the offer once from 11am to 2pm during this one-week period.

       “We are dedicated to supporting efforts to fight this pandemic. We would also like to thank the frontliners who have been working tirelessly to protect the public, ” Harikrishnan said.

       SAB business development manager H. Veera said: “During these trying times, this giveaway will be held periodically as a token of appreciation for those who have been vaccinated.

       “We also hope that people will stay home and comply with the government’s orders until the situation subsides.”

       Restoran Jaya Agd Sdn Bhd director J. Suresh said they would be giving out free chicken briyani and mango juice to all those who had gotten at least one dose of the vaccine.

       “This promotion will last for two months. All they have to do is show us their vaccination appointment card regardless of whether they have received one or both jabs, ” he said.

       “Each customer can redeem the offer once from 11am to 2pm at our Gottlieb Road and Gelugor outlet.”

       Meanwhile, another chain outlet – US Pizza – is offering a free pizza to those who have been vaccinated, but with terms and conditions.

       Popular dessert outlet llaollao Malaysia is also offering a 15% discount for orders, regardless of whether customers have gotten one or both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.
