The world is full of abandoned buildings and homes that have a chilling vibe to them, but there's something about this one that makes it extra eerie.

       YouTuber Adam Mark, who travels the world exploring "the abandoned and the strange," shared a video of the massive home hidden in the Italian countryside.

       The extraordinary mansion features a number of floors, and despite the structure deteriorating, you can clearly still see the beauty of the building.

       Not much is known about the building's history, and as Adam explores its various rooms, all he can do is find clues about who the previous owner could have been.

       What can be gathered, however, is that whoever the mansion belonged to was "very lavish, very wealthy", as the video creator suggests.

       "I mean I don't have a lot of history on this place at all, I just know it is absolutely amazing inside," he continues.

       The explorer was right, but what is surprising about this mansion is not how big it is or the number of rooms it boasts, it is the fact Adam found that everything was still inside.

       Plates were still on the kitchen counter, open letters on the table and photographs of the dresser and a number of the beds in the were even made, which desperately leaves the question of why was it left this way?

       Even after exploring multiple rooms, the reason the mansion was abandoned couldn't be pinpointed, but there were some clues that provided some context for when it could have been inhabited—a newspaper from 1976.

       But the more the house was explored the confusing it became as in the video Adam showed a "more modern bedroom" with a made bed and funiture that looked "newer".

       Another astonishing sight in the house, is from the library which Adam described as "frozen in time" with what could be hundreds of books placed in grand bookshelves.

       Nothing can be gathered from this mysterious mansion, but what can be said is that inside lie a number of stories and secrets waiting to be uncovered.
