A CAT that survived falling from the fifth floor of a block of flats is on the road to a full recovery.
The black and white moggy, named Edward, plunged more than 50ft to the ground.

But after being found by passers-by who took him to a rescue centre his life was saved with ￡10,000 of treatment from vets.
Rescue centre founder Lucy Strickland said: “He’s our very own miracle cat.
“How on earth he survived a fall like that, I’ve no idea but he’s certainly tough.”
Edward plunged from flats in Bloxwich, West Mids, four weeks ago — but it is unclear how it happened.
The two-year-old was taken to the Maximum Meadows rescue centre with extensive head injuries
But the centre took him to vets they knew would not give up on him.
Lucy said: “He was in a really bad way but we always try to give the cats a chance — we didn’t know if he’d make it but he’s doing well.
“He’s an absolutely fantastic character and really lovely and he’s very popular among the volunteers.

“Considering what he’s been through he’s incredibly loving and kind and loves to be stroked. Hopefully, he’ll be OK to be rehomed one day.”
Edward is still being fed by a tube and faces more operations on his jaw.
Veterinary experts say cats are built to survive falls as they are agile, with flexible spines, and their legs can act like shock absorbers.
