Protestors have gathered outside the headquarters of Reform UK as they accuse party leader Nigel Farage of "inciting fascist rioters."
Chants of "Nazi scum off our streets" were also heard from the protestors. Led by the group Stand Up To Racism, the demonstrations come after Mr Farage said this week that he is not responsible for egging on the riots seen across the UK in the last week.
He told TalkTV on Thursday: “I’ve never been involved in violence, been involved in street protest, been involved in encouraging any of these things."
After the tragic attack in Southport in which three girls were killed, Mr Farage recorded a video in which he speculated on whether the incident was "terror-related" and whether the “truth is being withheld from us."
Have your say on whether Farage should be blamed for the riots here.
This comes amid fresh fears of riot-led violence over this weekend with thousands of police officers on high alert - including in Newcastle where dozens of counter-protesters had gathered in anticipation of a far-right demonstration.
In the last two weeks, the UK has been hit by waves of riots and violence.
Towns and cities across the country saw yobs create fear and disorder in communities and many have been served swift justice with prison sentences being dished out by the courts.
Now, police are bracing for further possible far-right rioting at the weekend, with thousands of police officers to remain on standby over the coming days as the new Football League season looms.
Gavin Stephens, Chairman of the National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC), said: "We are very focussed on the weekend with many potential events still being advertised and circulated online.
"Those intent on violence have not gone away. They have been deterred and certainly received a message from the community, but there is no complacency and we need to be prepared on the days and weeks ahead and the police posture will remain the same.”
There will still be at least 6,000 riot officers on standby over the weekend.
