CHICAGO, April 29 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural futures closed mixed on Friday, with wheat falling and corn and soybean unchanged.

       The most active corn contract for July delivery settled unchanged at 8.135 U.S. dollars per bushel. July wheat fell 30 cents, or 2.76 percent, to settle at 10.5575 dollars per bushel. July soybean settled unchanged at 16.8475 dollars per bushel.

       Wheat fell on the prospect of U.S. Plains rain next week. Trade volume was well down from recent days as traders adjusted risk heading into the weekend. Weather has become the dominate fundamental and will continue into mid-August.

       Crush demand for June, July and August soybeans is on the rise as exporters and domestic users fight for supply. Chicago-based research company AgResource stays bullish of agricultural futures on adverse U.S. and Brazilian weather and the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, with corn being the upside leader.

       U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) did not announce any daily export sales Friday. China purchased as many as 10 cargoes of Brazilian soybeans for June shipment Thursday, with the U.S. Gulf back to being competitive from July forward.

       At least half of the world will be celebrating the May Day holiday. China and a large share of Southeast Asia will be out through Wednesday for the holiday. This will limit CBOT volume early next week.

       Weather forecast offers an active jet stream and three storm systems for the Central U.S. in the next 10 days. Cool and wet weather persists from the Northern Plains into Missouri and east to Ohio. Rainfall totals for the West Plains was reduced as the system were farther east and south. Key for next week's CBOT price is the location and amounts of rain.
