KUALA LUMPUR: Gas Malaysia Bhd has announced that the distribution tariff for Gas Malaysia Distribution Sdn Bhd (GMD) in Peninsular Malaysia is maintained at RM1.715 per Gigajoules (GJ) per day.

       In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Gas Malaysia said under the Incentive-Based Regulation framework, the current distribution tariff will be maintained for the period from Jan 1, 2022 until Dec 31, 2022.

       "Therefore, GMD’s Distribution Tariff for all types of utilisation is RM1.715/GJ/day for the period from Jan 1, 2022 until Dec 31, 2022," it said.

       However, Gas Malaysia said the tariff approval is not applicable to the sales of liquefied petroleum gas supplied in gas cylinder or in bulk supply.

       It said the distribution tariff implementation will continue to contribute positively towards the financial position of the company for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2022. - Bernama
