Meghan Markle's social media return discussed by expert

       Prince Harry has been left "confused and hurt" after Meghan Markle was recently seen pictured in public without her glittering engagement ring, it has been claimed.

       The Duchess of Sussex has removed the pricey piece of jewellery so that it can be repaired and has been pictured with her wedding band still in place.

       Earlier this month, the Duchess of Sussex was seen enjoying lunch with two friends, but her three-stone ring was noticeably replaced with a gold band on her engagement finger.

       One source has told Page Six her sparkler is simply "being fixed."

       But an insider has claimed Harry has been left confused as to why Meghan "won't wear something else from her extensive jewellery collection in its place".

       The source told the latest issue of Closer magazine: "She's saying it's simple a case of waiting for her engagement ring to be repaired because it's in with the jewellers, which is true.

       "But Harry doesn't understand why she won't wear something else from her extensive jewellery collection in its place. He's confused and hurt."

       Insiders also said: "All Meghan is doing by going out without her engagement ring is fuelling the rumours that she and Harry are having marriage troubles which Harry is absolutely baffled by.

       "He's been feeling anxious that she's trying to send some kind of message to him."

       Meghan was given the pricey engagement jewellery when her future husband Harry proposed to her in November 2017.

       The custom design features a diamond from Botswana - a country they visited together in the early days of their romance - and two smaller stones from his late mother Princess Diana’s collection.

       Harry said in an interview with BBC following the announcement of their engagement: "The ring is yellow gold, because that’s [her] favorite, and the main stone itself I sourced from Botswana, and the little diamonds either side are from my mother’s jewellery collection to make sure that she’s with us on this — on this crazy journey together."

       Meghan described the rock as "incredible," explaining: “Everything about Harry’s thoughtfulness and the inclusion of [Princess Diana’s stones] and obviously not being able to meet his mom, it’s so important to me to know that she’s a part of this with us."

       In the years following her engagement to the prince, the Duchess of Sussex has had the ring altered.

       Fans of the Sussexes have been quick to notice that after the birth of their first child Archie, the sparkler’s original yellow gold band was swapped with a thinner pavé setting.

       Earlier this month, Meghan and Harry delighted their legion of fans after the beaming couple appeared in a new Archewell Foundation video together.

       It saw the Duke and Duchess of Sussex return to the spotlight together for the first time in nearly three months.

       Trending

       Harry's own Heart of Invictus documentary - which he has executively produced - will be released on Netflix on Wednesday. He will also return to the UK to attend the WellChild Awards in London on September 7.

       The Duke of Sussex will then fly to Dusseldorf in Germany to attend the Invictus Games, which he founded in 2014. He will be joined by Meghan for the closing ceremony.
