KUALA LUMPUR: Police are looking for two men in connection with the robbery of a goldsmith at Palma Ampang Point here.
Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Farouk Eshak said the incident occurred at around 1.41pm on Friday (May 13).
"We received a call from a woman concerning the robbery.
"Our checks revealed that two men believed to be locals were involved," he said when contacted Friday.
He said the suspects were wearing helmets with visors and dark coloured jackets during the incident.
"The two suspects entered the premises and jumped behind the counter and began taking the jewellery displayed at the goldsmith.
"The suspects were unarmed during the robbery," he said, adding that the shop staff were hiding in the store room during the incident.
He said the estimated losses were currently being determined.
"We have classified the case as a gang robbery under Section 395 of the Penal Code.
"Those with information on the case should come forward immediately," he said.
