A 14-year-old boy was killed late Friday and a man was slain Saturday morning in shootings in the District, police said. A third shooting left a man critically wounded on Saturday afternoon, according to police.

The teenager, Niko Estep, of Southeast Washington, was found with gunshot wounds around 11:40 p.m. at 14th and Fairmont Streets NW, police said.
He was taken to a hospital, where he died, according to police.
A second gunshot victim, described only as younger than 18, was found nearby in the 1400 block of Fairmont Street, an address in the Columbia Heights area. He was taken to a hospital with wounds that were described as not being life-threatening, police said on Saturday.
In the second incident, a man was found with gunshot wounds in the 3500 block of A Street SE around 7:40 a.m. He died at the scene, police said.
His name was withheld pending positive identification and notification of relatives, police said.
In the Saturday afternoon shooting, a man was described as unconscious and not breathing after being found around 3:45 p.m. in the 1400 block of L Street SE, said Beth Grannis, a police spokeswoman.
The address is about two blocks from the southeastern edge of Capitol Hill.
