       D.C. police on Friday arrested a man in connection with an August shooting that left a 34-year-old man dead at the scene.

       DaJohn Blunt, 22, was arrested on a warrant in Northwest Washington, police said. He then was transported to the department’s homicide branch and charged with first degree murder while armed.

       Blunt’s arrest comes nearly three months after the Aug. 19 killing of Kevin McDowell, 34, who was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound in the 2100 block of H Street NE, according to police.

       No further information was immediately available Saturday.
