A MAN who had a baby with his teacher when he was 14 is set to become a grandad for the first time at aged 40.

       Vili Faulaau entered into a relationship with 34-year-old convicted paedophile and school teacher Mary Kay Letourneau when he was just 12.

       The pair got married even after May was convicted of raping him.

       They had two kids and the youngest, Georgia, 24, has announced her pregnancy on social media.

       An Instagram post shows Georgia and her husband sharing a kiss with the caption, "New parents coming soon", according to Mail Online.

       Georgia’s sister, Audrey, 26, shared the happy news on her Instagram and said: "Words cannot explain how excited I am for my little sister to have this baby boy.

       Another post shows Georgia receiving a kiss on her baby bump from her big sister, who works as a flight attendant based in Honolulu.

       This isn’t the only good news the family has received recently as Villi welcomed a new baby girl in November, named Sophia.

       Vili's daughter Audrey was born in prison while her mum was serving a seven-year sentence.

       The sentence came after Vili and Mary's illegal relationship was leaked to police by a relative of her husband at the time, Steve Letourneau.

       It quickly became a scandal that shocked the nation.

       Mary previously pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree child rape and was originally handed a six-month sentence.

       But when she broke the conditions of the plea agreement - one of which stated she must have no contact with her pre-teen lover - a longer sentence was imposed.

       Despite widespread criticism, the couple resisted outside pressures to split and were wed shortly after Mary left prison, remaining married for 12 years before Vili filed for divorce in 2017.

       Mary died in 2020 - soon after the divorce was finalised, leaving her estate to Vili and their two daughters.

       Vili was just 12 when he was raped by Mary, his teacher at Shorewood Elementary School in Burien, Washington.

       They were discovered together on June 19, 1996, parked in a minivan at the Des Moines Marina in King County.

       They characterised their relationship as one of love, writing a book titled Un Seul Crime, L’Amour, or Only One Crime, Love.

       And their relationship with depicted in the USA Network movie All American Girl.

       Mary's husband Steve learned of their relationship after he found love letters between his wife and the teenager.

       He filed for divorce and move to Alaska with their four children.
