9:25 a.m. - Snow showers/flurries/graupel transit region
Since shortly after sunrise, patches of light snow/flurries and graupel (snow pellets) have intermittently passed through the region. Temperatures have been too mild for the dash of frozen precipitation to accumulate but we were showered with reports of it on social media. It will end over the next hour. Here are some images:

Temperatures slowly rise through the chilly 30s this morning under cloudy skies. Partly sunny afternoon skies should help highs to the upper 40s to near 50. The weekend brings another cold front with a bit of variability. Most of Saturday should be partly sunny with highs in the 50s. Increasing clouds toward evening could trigger a few light showers.
