KUALA LUMPUR: The two videos showing people assaulted and threatened with stun guns occurred overseas, say police.

       Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Seri Abd Jalil Hassan said police received information on the two videos that went viral.

       "The first video showed a woman believed to be Vietnamese on a bed and being threatened with a stun gun.

       "The second video showed a man being handcuffed to a bed and tortured with the same weapon," he said in a statement on Thursday (June 2), adding that both videos occurred overseas.

       "We advise the public not to spread or share such videos as it could cause public distress.

       "We also welcome any information regarding any criminal incidents that can be channelled to the nearest police station," he said.
