A man was found dead in Fairfax County on Tuesday night with what appeared to be a gunshot wound, the county police said. They said the wound did not appear to be self-inflicted.

       The man was found in an apartment in the 3100 block of Southgate Drive, in what is sometimes referred to as the Alexandria area of southeastern Fairfax County.
