Thomas Markle Jr, the Duchess of Sussex's estranged half brother, has made a savage verdict of his sibling. The 55-year-old is appearing on this year's series of Celebrity Big Brother in Australia and in a trailer clip he described Meghan as "very shallow" and sent a warning to her husband Prince Harry.

       In a trailer for Big Brother VIP, Mr Markle said: "I'm Meghan Markle's brother, I'm the biggest brother of them all."

       He added: "I told Prince Harry, I think she's going to ruin your life. She's very shallow."

       Mr Markle no longer has a relationship with Meghan, and is thought to have last seen his sister in 2011.

       He was not invited to her wedding to Prince Harry in May 2018.

       But despite Mr Markle's damning comments, the Duke of Sussex has heavily praised his wife for having had a positive impact on his life.

       During Harry's interview with Oprah Winfrey for their docu-series 'The Me You Can't See', the Duke thanked Meghan for encouraging him to do therapy.

       He said: "I saw GPs, I saw doctors, I saw therapists, I saw alternative therapists, I saw all sorts of people. But it was meeting and being with Meghan.

       "I knew if I didn't do the therapy and fix myself, that I was going to lose this woman who I could see spending the rest of my life with."

       He added: "When she said, 'I think you need to see someone,' it was in reaction to an argument we had.

       "In that argument, not knowing about it, I reverted back to 12-year-old Harry."

       When it came to her personal life, the commentator said marrying Prince Harry provided a huge boost to her "reputation and international exposure" - something that would have taken a lot of "planning" to achieve.

       Mr Sarcerdoti said the relationship may have ensued completely innocently and in a romantic fashion, but said Meghan must have been aware of what she was getting into.

       He told Sky News: "She grew up with, with high ambitions and started to reach them as an actress - putting in the work, obviously not a terribly successful actress in terms of being well known internationally.

       "She then married Prince Harry and then she has become probably one of the most known or recognisable names in the world just by marrying somebody.

       “I think that shows an enormous amount of planning and ambition."
