PETALING JAYA: As Ramadan enters its fourth week, Tourism, Arts, and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing is hosting a special breaking-of-fast event for foreign diplomats.

Tiong also invited Ambassadors and High Commissioners representing various countries to the event at Sunway Resort on Sunday (March 31).

“Through this event, we aim to foster closer collaboration in promoting Malaysia’s vibrant tourism offerings, particularly as we prepare for Visit Malaysia Year 2026.”

“The evening also showcased the richness of Malaysian culture, featuring a delectable spread of the local cuisine, enchanting performances of traditional gamelan music, and an exquisite exhibition of handcrafted songket, batik, and wood carvings by Kraftangan Malaysia,” said Tiong.

Deputy Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan, the ministry secretary-general Datuk Roslan Tan Sri Abdul Rahman, Tourism Malaysia director-general Manoharan Periasamy, and representatives from local media were among the attendees.

Last year, Malaysia welcomed 20.14 million international tourists, generating RM71.3bil in tourism receipts.
