KUALA LUMPUR: Three men with nearly 50 prior criminal and narcotics offences between them have been arrested after breaking into a school.
Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail said that a 28-year-old teacher at the school in Taman Putra Sulaiman noticed that the doors to the office and surau had been opened, with the locks broken on Aug 29.
“The complainant found both rooms to be in a mess. Following a check he noticed that RM200 in cash and several other items had gone missing,” he said in a statement Tuesday (Sept 5).
Following investigations into the break-in, the police made three arrests in Jalan Villa Kesuma 2 at around 1am on Sept 4.
The suspects, aged 31, 45 and 48 years old, were found to have criminal records.
“The first has 23 criminal and drug related offences with two wanted records. The second had 20 priors for both criminal and narcotics-related offences, as well as one wanted record.
“Lastly, the third suspect has a record with six prior criminal and narcotics-related offences. All also tested positive for amphetamine, methamphetamine and Benzo,” he said.

Several items were also seized, including a grinder machine, seven handphones, a money counter machine and RM1,070 in cash.
“The suspects were believed to have targeted private schools and housing areas that were not guarded. All three have been remanded until Sept 9,” he said.
