A 43-year-old woman from the District was killed in a hit-and-run Friday afternoon in Prince George’s County, police said.

       Rachelle Tucker was struck by a car traveling east in the 5700 block of Allentown Road in Camp Springs about 2:30 p.m., county police said. The woman, who was in the road for unknown reasons when she was hit, was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

       The driver, who was not named by police, had been identified and the vehicle that struck Tucker had been located, according to officials.

       The crash remained under investigation.
