KLUANG: A motorcyclist died on the spot after being involved in an accident at KM63, Jalan Yong Peng-Kluang on Tuesday (April 26) at about 6.15pm.
According to Kluang deputy OCPD Deputy Supt Abdul Razak Abdullah Sani said the local male victim in his early 40s was riding the motorcycle from Taman Seri Lambak.
“The victim lost control of the motorcycle and collided with a lorry heading in the opposite direction," he said in a statement Wednesday (April 27).
DSP Abdul Razak said the victim suffered head and body injuries following the collision and was pronounced dead on the spot.
He said the lorry driver, a local man in his mid-40s, escaped unhurt in the incident.
DSP Abdul Razak said the case was being investigated under Section (1) of the Transport Act 1987.
“As Hari Raya Aidilfitri approaches, we advise all users to abide by the traffic laws by driving carefully," he said.
