SEREMBAN: A headmaster has been detained by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for allegedly making a RM2,500 false claim.
A source said the 57-year-old was detained after being called in for questioning on Monday (Sept 27) afternoon.
He allegedly committed the offence in late 2019, submitting the claim for several programmes which were never held.
When contacted, state MACC director Awangkok Ahmad Taufik Putra confirmed the arrest and said the case was being probed under Section 18 of the MACC Act.
It is learnt the suspect will be taken to the Magistrate's Court here to be remanded on Tuesday (Sept 28).
