KOTA KINABALU: A retiring school headmaster was arrested by anti-graft investigators looking into a suspected breach of trust involving RM8,000 in payments from the school's bookstore rental.
The 60-year-old woman was arrested by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission investigators after she was called in for questioning at the Sandakan MACC office at about 11am on Tuesday (Jan 11), sources said.
The suspect was released on bail after she was questioned.
The source said that she was expected to be charged at the Sandakan Special Corruption Court later this week.
When contacted, Sabah MACC director Datuk S. Karunanithy said that investigations were being carried out under Section 405 of the Penal Code for breach of trust.
