Chicago police are investigating a homicide case after a man was found fatally shot in the head in the Garfield Ridge neighborhood on Monday evening, officials said.
A man of unknown age was found with a gunshot wound to the head near a sidewalk in the 5300 block of South Cicero Avenue around 5 p.m. Monday, according to a media notification from Chicago police.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
According to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, the man was located at 5302 S. Cicero Ave. and he was pronounced dead at 5:18 p.m. The medical examiner’s office had not released information about the man’s age or identity Tuesday morning.
No arrests have been made.
