KUALA LUMPUR: Police here have detained 11 people – including nine foreign women believed to be prostitutes – in a raid on a Desa Sri Hartamas massage parlour here
Kuala Lumpur CID chief Senior Asst Comm Habibi Majinji said the massage parlour was raided at about 10.30pm on Tuesday (March 8).
"We detained eight Thai women and an Indonesian woman who are suspected to be prostitutes along with a local man who was the caretaker of the premises as well as a male Indian national,” he said.
SAC Habibi said that the male Indian national was a customer, and added that the raid was conducted after receiving information and carrying out surveillance on the premises.
He said when contacted that several items were seized, including 10 condoms, three towels, a bottle of lubricant and RM300 cash.
"We will conduct further investigations into the syndicate. The cooperation of the public is needed; anyone with information on any criminal activity is urged to contact the police as soon as possible," he said
