The Valdai Discussion Club and VTsIOM launched the Future Preparedness Index project. The project's objective is the analysis of countries' preparedness to meet the challenges of tomorrow, their role in scenarios of the future, competitiveness according to a range of economic and political criteria, development of industries and social infrastructure, as well as the analysis of Russia's place in the world powers ranking.

       The session will attempt to assess comprehensively the readiness of the state for long-term challenges of the global economy on a number of parameters. What are the contours of the economy of the future - what will be the competitiveness factor? Which industries will become engines of the economic growth? What will be the paradigm of macroeconomic policies of developed and developing countries?
