PETALING JAYA: The prolonged political crisis during the Pakatan Harapan era has hindered the development of the country, including Johor, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
The MCA president said this during a Chinese New Year celebration organised by a youth group in Taman Daya, Johor Bahru on Sunday (March 6).
In a Facebook post, he said he had spoken about the damage done by Pakatan during their rule, particularly in relation to education and the economy in a speech at the event.
“I also introduced Barisan Nasional candidates from MCA to the audience.
“I appeal to the audience to give their support by voting for these candidates,” he said.
“For 22 months Pakatan was in power, they were only good at stopping development projects that benefit the people, simply because of political revenge.
“In this regard, it is very important to give a mandate to Barisan so that the country, especially the state of Johor, can develop well and create future stability,” he said, adding that with stability, Johor would develop and prosper.
