HONG Kong actress Roxanne Tong revealed that she and her boyfriend, actor Kenneth Ma, had talked about getting married but their plans were delayed by the pandemic, China Press reported.
“We have discussed it, but does this mean we have to let the public know how the discussion is coming along?” she quipped.
Tong, 35, admitted that she felt pressured as she was often asked about it.
“Every two to three weeks or a month, someone will ask me when I would get married.”
Her own father does not pressure her into getting married, she added.
Asked whether the wedding would be held in the next two years, Tong said she hoped so.
“The pandemic had a bit of an impact. There was a fifth wave (of Covid-19) earlier. Hence, we want to wait until things are more settled,” she said.
Tong and Ma, 48, got together in 2020. Previously, Ma was dating actress Jacqueline Wong, who cheated on him with married singer Andy Hui in 2019.
> Taiwanese star Show Lo appears to be learning English, posting photos of flashcards containing English terms on his social media, Sin Chew Daily reported.
Lo, who made a comeback to show business after laying low following a scandal in 2020, said he was adamant in picking up the language.
He talked about memorising 10 new words a month.
The flashcards he posted showed simple words such as beef, shoes, cheese and gloves.
A fan poked fun at him online, saying that he would only manage to learn 10 new words in 10 years.
“That is too much of an exaggeration! If it were 10 years, I would have given up,” he replied.
Lo, 42, was reported to have lost millions in axed celebrity endorsement deals in 2020 after his then girlfriend accused him of sleeping with other female artistes.
He also lost his job as the host of a variety show.
After keeping a low profile for two years, he made an appearance at a New Year’s Eve concert in December 2021.
