KUALA LUMPUR: A man was rescued after falling down a ravine at Jalan Gombak.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department chief Norazam Khamis said the victim, in his 40s, was cycling with his wife when he fell at about 9.22am on Tuesday (April 19).
"Six rescue personnel were deployed to the area.
"They managed to rescue the victim by hoisting him out of the ravine using a stretcher," he said when contacted on Tuesday.
The victim only suffered minor scratches and bruises, he added.
"Once he was hoisted up, we handed the victim over to his family members.
"We also conducted checks on the surrounding area to ensure that there were no hazardous conditions that might endanger others," he said.
