SAPP: Pakatan, Warisan out to topple Perikatan ‘by hook or by crook’

KOTA KINABALU: The Opposition Parti Warisan Sabah and Pakatan Harapan are in a rush to topple the present Perikatan Nasional by “hook or by crook”, says the Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP).

SAPP deputy president Edward Dagul said the Opposition was hoping to bring down the Perikatan government by staging protests to prevent Malaysians from supporting the government once the nation achieves 80% herd immunity by November this year.

“Pakatan and Warisan political leaders are afraid that all Malaysians will eventually support the Perikatan government and the Prime Minister when herd immunity is achieved by November,” he added.

He said Warisan and Pakatan’s main agenda was to pull down Perikatan before the 80% herd immunity was achieved.

“Our Prime Minister (Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin) has promised Malaysians that the government will speed up the vaccination process to achieve 80% herd immunity by November.

“Labuan is a very good example where the targeted herd immunity has been achieved and labelled a success due to the hard work of the Perikatan government,” he said Wednesday (Aug 4).

“Malaysians must not be fooled by such unscrupulous tactics to topple the present government which is clearly a caring government focused on the people’s wellbeing and welfare, especially when the nation is facing the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Dagul, whose SAPP is part of the Perikatan government.
