KUALA LUMPUR: Kelington Group Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Kelington Engineering (Shanghai) Co Ltd has secured a contract worth RM62mil to perform gas hook up works in Shanghai, China.

       The integrated engineering solutions provider, in a statement, said the contract was awarded by the largest semiconductor foundry in China.

       The gas hook up works will commence in June 2022 and will be completed by March 2023.

       Inclusive of this contract win, Kelington has so far this year clinched new orders amounting to RM762mil, bringing its current outstanding orderbook to RM1.66bil.

       Chief executive officer Raymond Gan said the contract would enhance its market foothold in China as it continues to secure key packages from renowned players in the market, thus opening doors for more business opportunities.

       “Despite the intermittent lockdown measures in China, our operations remain intact with minimal interruptions as we prepare sufficient stocks and materials to execute our projects.

       “We are confident in securing more related projects in the market and sustain our positive momentum in order replenishment,” he added.
