One person was killed and three others injured when gunfire erupted at a St. Charles nightclub early Sunday morning, authorities said.
Khalief D. McAllister, 23, of Aurora, was pronounced dead at Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital in Geneva, Police Chief James Keegan said.
Two gunshot victims were found outside Trilogy Nightclub, 2051 Lincoln Highway, at 2 a.m., the police report said. Both victims were taken to Delnor, where McAllister was pronounced dead, the release said.
A third victim arrived at Delnor’s emergency room with a gunshot wound, police said.
The two surviving victims underwent emergency surgery with one person in stable condition and the other in critical, police said. A fourth person was driven to Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora and was treated and released, police said.

St. Charles police did not release any additional information, saying the shooting is under investigation. The department is working with the Kane County Major Crimes Task Force and the Aurora and Montgomery police departments.
The 5,000-square-foot Trilogy Nightclub opened in April and is described on its website as “both your late-night dance club and event space all under one roof.” The club has daily promotions, scheduled shows and Sunday brunch.
