A SAINSBURY'S delivery driver allegedly urinated in a bottle in his van and left it next to a customer's food.

       The van was full of customers' shopping at the time, waiting to be delivered to homes around the Grimsby area, it's been claimed.

       The driver allegedly was doing his delivery rounds when he decided to use an empty bottle to relieve himself.

       It's understood that the bottle full of his pee was then placed inside an empty shopping container.

       And the other containers are said to have been filled with customer's shopping - some of which were fresh and loose in the containers, reports GrimsbyLive.

       The driver was only caught out after a second delivery man took over the van on the next shift, it's claimed.

       A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said: “All our colleagues are trained to meet strict hygiene standards.

       "The incident took place earlier this year and immediate action was taken at the time.”

       Earlier this year, a horrified HelloFresh customer got more than he bargained for -when he received a full bottle of urine as part of his food order.

       Oliver McManus received his Sunday morning delivery from the meal-kit company and discovered a bottle containing a questionable-looking liquid was thrown in with it.

       Amongst his hoisin beef, yoghurt spiced chicken, and their accompanying recipe cards, was "someone's bottled up p***".

       A spokesperson for HelloFresh said, "We are truly horrified and sorry that the customer received the offending item.

       "Given the wholly unacceptable nature, we are urgently investigating, along with our delivery company, how an open box with this bottle in it was delivered.

       We have apologised directly to Mr McManus and offered an appropriate good will gesture. We are working hard to do everything we can to ensure that this cannot happen again."
