COPS have launched an urgent probe after a shocking video showed hotel guests stripping an entire room of everything they could carry.

       Owners of the Dolphin Hotel and Restaurant said the "super friendly" woman and her male partner hurriedly left after staying for one night.

       The pair arrived with one small bag when they checked into the ￡80-a-night hotel on the Welsh coast - but "left with much more".

       Police are now looking into the alleged theft after hotel bosses exposed pictures of the runaway guests.

       A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesman said: "We have received a report of theft from a room at the Dolphin Hotel, Pembroke Dock, on Saturday, 19 August. We are investigating the incident."

       Hotel boss Natalie Newton, 43, said: "They made off with the kettle, luxury towels, a lamp, the tea and coffee container, a charging tower and other stuff.

       "This will cost at least ￡200 to replace everything but it also meant I couldn't rent the room out again until it was all replenished."

       Natalie said the hotel, which had been in her family since 1999, says the crime couldn't have come at a worse time.

       She said: "We're trying to run a boutique hotel and restaurant but first we had Covid and now we have the cost of living crisis - I don't know how much longer we can keep going.

       "I tried contacting the couple. I have phoned the number they left, I have messaged them but they haven't come back. I even tried charging their card but the payment was declined."

       The woman was pictured with dark hair tied above her head, a leopard print top and glasses while carrying a large carrier bag to a car.

       Her partner wore a blue North Face hoodie, navy baseball cap and was seen holding a large holdall as they left - and he made two trips to their car with the holdall.

       In an appeal on social media, the hotel in Pembroke Dock, West Wales, warned other guesthouses to be on guard for the pair who stayed last Saturday night.

       The hotel said: "This woman and her partner booked a room with us for one night Saturday night and literally stole all the contents from the room.

       "I'd like to warn other potential hotels/guesthouses to keep a look out for them as they are not the type of guests that anyone would want.

       "Ironically they were super friendly with a Welsh accent so guessing that they are potentially not that far away (Rhondda, Llanelli, Swansea way maybe).

       "This is obviously upsetting when we find ourselves struggling like every other business to keep our head above the water with all the price increases that we all have upon us."

       And their appeal ended: "SHAME ON YOU!"
