AN 11-MONTH-OLD baby and a 35-year-old woman have been killed in a horror smash with a lorry.
Police and paramedics rushed to a Shropshire A-road in the early hours of this morning after the crash.

Despite their efforts, neither of the casualties could be saved.
Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers have called for witnesses following the 1am collision, which happened on the A41 between Newport and Tern Hill.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "Officers are appealing for information after a collision in north Shropshire where a woman and child very sadly died.
"It happened around 1am this morning on the A41 between Newport and Tern Hill near Lavender Cottage.
"A grey Ford Focus travelling from Newport collided with a lorry.
"Tragically, a 35-year-old woman and an 11-month-old child died at the scene.

"Officers are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, saw the grey Ford Focus being driven in the area, or captured the car or the incident on dash cam to please get in touch."

It comes after a woman and toddler died in a crash on Saturday near Lilleshall, 16 miles away.
Emergency services were called to the A518 New Trench Road at 6.20pm following a collision between a blue Mini and a grey Fiat 500.
The driver of the Mini, a woman in her 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two adults and a 19-month-old child, all of whom were in the Fiat, were rushed to hospital. The little one lost her fight for life on Monday.
HORROR ON SHROPSHIRE ROADS
Speaking on the day of the collision, a West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, ambulance staff found a very serious collision between two vehicles with one having left the road.
"Two bystanders, one an off duty paramedic, were providing basic life support to a toddler in one of the cars.
“Two adults, a man and a woman, were also trapped in this car.
“Sadly, the only occupant of the other car, a woman, had suffered very serious injuries.
"Despite best efforts, she could not be saved and was confirmed dead at the scene.
“The youngster was quickly extricated from the car and was taken on blue lights to Princess Royal Hospital where her condition was stabilised.

"She was then transferred on blue lights to the paediatric major trauma centre at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, where she arrived in a critical condition.
“The man and woman from the car both suffered multiple injuries. After being freed, they were taken on blue lights to the major trauma centre at Royal Stoke University Hospital.
"Their conditions were not believed to be life threatening.”
