The GB News presenter criticised the report released by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), accusing the UN of using language “designed to cause fear”. The IPCC report said that the world is experiencing a “code red” climate emergency.
The latest findings were approved by 195 member states and released on Monday.
The report is one of the starkest warnings about the climate crisis.
With words like “irreversible” used, the report was clear about the importance of understanding the evolution of climate change.

“In the UK and that is exactly what we have been doing - making up the most environmentally friendly programme in the developed world.
“We will continue to do our bit. To save the environment at a much increased rate over the next decade.
“The hysterical and purposely provocative language coming from the United Nations today via the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, like “code red”, which is designed to cause fear, especially among young people.
“This is straight out of the UN's playbook.”

The report warned nations that limiting global warming to the tipping point of 1.5 degrees Celsius “will be beyond reach” in the next 20 years unless rapid and large-scale environmental efforts are made.
The UK leads the world in cutting greenhouse gas emissions and will be hosting the United Nations climate conference in Scotland this autumn.
Boris Johnson has unveiled ambitious plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 78 percent from 1990 levels by 2035.
The US, however, aims to halve their 2005 emissions by 2030.
