MELAKA: Perikatan Nasional has already identified its Melaka chief minister candidate if the coalition wins the Nov 20 polls, says Datuk Seri Azmin Ali.
The Perikatan election director said Gerakan and PAS, which are in the coalition, had agreed to the proposed name for chief minister, who is from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia.
“We are now focusing on winning the polls without delving into who is going to be the chief minister,” he said after a visit here yesterday.
Azmin added that Perikatan chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had made the same announcement recently.
He explained that Perikatan was keen to disseminate information to voters because the coalition had fielded new faces in the state election.
“These candidates are unable to reach out to voters due to the new norm of the state polls,” Azmin added.
