       Hannah Ingram-Moore's neighbours are waging war on the daughter of NHS hero Captain Tom Moore over her illegal ￡200,000 pool house.

       Mrs Ingram-Moore and her husband are challenging an order to tear down the building on the grounds of their home which includes a spa.

       The couple's appeal is due to be held on October 17 with 19 letters of objection already submitted to Central Bedfordshire Council.

       One reads: "The building is a complete eyesore." Others claim the building spoils their outlook and is too large for the neighbouring properties. Another objection describes the building as "ugly" and "hideous".

       The Ingram-Moores were granted consent in 2021 for a Captain Tom Foundation Building, but a retrospective planning application for an extension to the building was refused.

       Appeal documents include Colin Ingram-Moore describing the building as "no more overbearing" than what was originally approved.

       But council officials argue the size and scale of the building has had an adverse effect on neighbours.

       One local has told The Sun: "It’s unbelievable they are still fighting to keep the pool. They must be aware of the huge anger across the country at what they have done."

       They added that to keep going shows how much they must want to keep the spa.

       Captain Sir Tom Moore captured the nation's hearts during the coronavirus pandemic by walking 100 laps of his garden, raising ￡33million for NHS workers.

       Then Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Queen Elizabeth II led tributes to Captain Tom at the time, with the late monarch knighting the World War Two veteran for his heroic efforts before his death aged 100 in February 2021.

       A charity set up in Captain Tom's name is currently under investigation by the Charity Commission and is no longer taking donations.

       Mr and Mrs Ingram-Moore have been approached for comment.
