'A new revolt is brewing': Top pollster issues Tories major warning over Reform UK surge (Image: GETTY)
Rishi Sunak’s Tories were sent a fresh warning after a series of polls left them reeling and gave Reform UK a significant boost this week.
Reform UK, formerly Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party, is jumping ahead in the polls with the latest Techne tracker poll for Express.co.uk putting it up from one to eight percent and a People Polling survey also putting it into third place on 11 percent.
Responding to the polling, the party’s deputy leader Ben Habib has claimed voters are growing increasingly weary with the Tories because the party is abandoning its true values under Rishi Sunak.
The top businessman and former MEP told Express.co.uk: “The so-called Conservative Party has turned its back on being conservative.

“The sacking of Suella Braverman, who spoke for the people, and appointment of David Cameron, who speaks for the socialist anti-democratic EU, was the final proof.
“People are utterly fed up.
“Labour, which is much the same as the Tories but marginally worse, offers no genuine choice.
“Anyone wanting wealth creation over wealth redistribution; aspiration over dependency; the stopping of illegal migration; a net zero approach to legal migration; policies made with British interests in mind, not global ones; and a sovereign proud United Kingdom have only one choice: Reform UK.”

Mr Habib’s intervention comes after leading pollster Matt Goodwin broke down Reform UK’s average vote share according to the new data, with a warning many Conservative voters were now “jumping ship”.
He said: “The Reform party's average vote is now up to 10.3 percent from just over five percent a month ago.
“One in five Conservative Party voters from 2019 have now jumped ship.
“So make no mistake. A new revolt on the right is brewing.”

It comes after a torrid week for the Conservatives saw the dramatic sacking of former Home Secretary Suella Braverman, the shock return to Government of ex-PM David Cameron and the Supreme Court rejecting Mr Sunak’s flagship illegal migration policy.
One Tory MP told Express.co.uk last night: “We are in total freefall. It really can't get worse.”

The Supreme Court’s judgment that Mr Sunak’s plan to send illegal migrants to Rwanda was unlawful led to a furious backlash from his sacked Home Secretary in a fiery op-ed published last night.
The Prime Minister has since denied “tinkering” with the Rwanda policy after Mrs Braverman suggested his plan to get the scheme through would fail without more radical measures.
Mr Sunak has said he will introduce emergency legislation and a new treaty with Kigali in an attempt to allay the concerns of the UK’s highest court to do with “refoulement”, the forcible return of refugees or asylum seekers to a country where they are liable to be subjected to persecution.
