IPOH: An individual who had travelled home to Teluk Intan from another state has tested positive for Covid-19.

       A Hilir Perak District Health Office spokesman said they received a notification on the matter on Wednesday (Oct 13).

       “The individual was a close contact to another positive case from a state in the southern region.

       “The person showed symptoms several days ago, with a subsequent swab test found to be positive,” the spokesman said in a post on the district health office’s Facebook page.

       “All family members have been ordered to undergo quarantine,” the spokesman added.

       The spokesman advised those wanting to return to their respective hometown to do a swab test first.

       “The self-test kit is not expensive compared to the safety of our family members at home.

       “Do not let your homecoming become a tragedy,” the spokesman said.

       “If tested positive, delay your trip home and contact the nearest district health office,” the spokesman added.
