Cops nab man for alleged insult on socks issue

       PETALING JAYA: Police have arrested a man after he allegedly belittled religious sensitivities over the sock issue involving KK Super Mart.

       Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain, in a statement on Thursday (March 21), said the arrest was made on the 35-year-old Facebook user on Wednesday (March 20).

       "The police confirm the arrest of the local man over investigations into a posting regarding the sale of socks with the word Allah in a KK Super Mart that insulted Islam," he said.

       He added that the suspect had been remanded until March 24.
