KUALA LUMPUR: The Road Transport Department (JPJ) is offering a discount of up to 70% on all compoundable summonses from today to Sept 16.
Summonses that are not considered compounded are those still under mention in the courts, including those with the status of arrest warrants or trial, said JPJ.
It said the discount was being offered in conjunction with this year’s 64th National Day celebration themed “Malaysia Prihatin”.
“The reduction is for all summonses issued under the Road Transport Act 1987 (Act 333), the Commercial Vehicles Licensing Board Act 1987 (Act 334) and other rules and orders under it, including cases that are still blacklisted,” it added.
The offer also applies to summonses that are still active and valid, provided that payment is made within the offer period.
The summonses can be paid at all state JPJ offices and branches, Urban Transformation Centre outlets, kiosks and online platforms via the mySIKAP JPJ portal at https://public.jpj.gov.my/.
“For blacklisted cases, the offenders must go to the JPJ office (branch or state) for the documentation process before payment can be made,” JPJ said. — Bernama
