MPs passed three new laws with varying majorities in the House of Commons on Tuesday December 14, giving the Government three wins. From Wednesday, the law will require people to wear masks in more locations and provide vaccine passports for others, while NHS health workers will have to accept mandatory jabs in 2022. People will find the vote makes immediate changes to their lives, and there are several ways to secure the correct documentation.

       Most people will have the NHS app on their phone, allowing them to present their vaccination or testing status in a snap.

       Those not so technologically inclined can ask the NHS to send them a letter instead.

       There are two types, one to use for travel, and another domestically.

       Several domestic events will only allow people to enter with a Covid pass from tomorrow.

       They include:

       People can only get an NHS Covid pass letter for these events if they are 18 or over and have waited two weeks after their vaccinations.

       Under 18s do not need vaccine passports, and some groups can get one via alternative means.

       If they have only received a partial vaccination, they can claim a letter if this was part of a clinical trial.

       They may also receive one if they have a medical exemption.

       People will need a Covid pass when travelling on most airlines.

       In this case, everyone aged 12 and older needs one before embarking.

       They must also wait five days after receiving their second Covid jab.

       Applicants need to follow instructions outlined on the Government's website for either letter.

       Alternatively, people can also ask for one or both passes over the phone.
