Ed Miliband has been exposed over the Tata Steel job losses (Image: Getty)
Ed Miliband’s hypocrisy over Tata Steel has been exposed. The former leader of the Labour Party attended the Tata Steel protest in Westminster over the closing of the Port Talbot plant.
However, GB News presenter Darren Grimes pointed out his hypocrisy. Writing on X, formerly Twitter, he claimed: “Ed Miliband has joined a protest against the Tata Steel losses.
“This is the same man responsible for the Climate Change Act and the Greta Thunberg disciple who has said we must go harder and faster on Net Zero.
“THIS man is responsible for speeding up these crippling job losses!”

Earlier this month, the BBC reported Tata Steel told workers it had lost a colossal £160m in just three months, the equivalent of around £1.7million per day.
Following the closure of the plant, 3,000 people could be left unemployed after spending years producing steel for the UK.
Tata Steel announced that the plan is for the steel works to be turned into a greener electric arc furnace as part of a green transformation.
Despite the climate-friendly intentions, the closure of the plant has left unanswered questions about how the UK will become the only country in the G20 that can’t make its own steel.

Speaking exclusively to the Express, leader of Plaid Cymru Rhun ap Iorwerth, said the blame lay at the feet of politicians in Westminster.
He said: “You've got the likes of Germany pumping tens of billions of pounds into their steel industry, to prepare for a cleaner future, for the UK to only be willing to invest £500million, it's a tiny investment, to think that's adequate, it makes the mind boggle.
“I think we've got to be pretty clear on this one. This is pretty much all undefiled, the UK government is entirely at the heart of this.
“The Welsh government has a very important role to play, but the scale of strategic investment that is needed from the UK is as such that the powers lie with Westminster.”

Mr ap Iorwerth’s comments have been refused by the leader of the Welsh Conservatives Andrew RT Davies who said: “Of course, the Welsh nationalists will blame the UK government for this failure, but the truth is that Westminster's pledge of £500million will protect jobs and continue the creation of steel at Port Talbot.”

However, Mr ap Iorwerth has claimed the Government support is nowhere near enough to cover the shortfall. What’s more, he claimed the UK could sustain a green transition without job losses.
He explained: “The UK is absolutely able to make the necessary investment in a just transition to a cleaner future and protect jobs, as well as protect steelmaking in the UK, and to show it cares about these communities.
"If it's not willing to do that, then what's the point?"
