       A look ahead

While we are still enjoying the sun and highs in the low to mid-50s Saturday, a storm is taking shape in the Gulf of Mexico. Clouds start to approach the area late night from the south. Lows should end up in the low to mid-30s. Confidence: High

Clouds quickly fill in Sunday as the storm starts to lumber up the Atlantic coast. Showers could begin to scatter into the area by afternoon. Highs should hold in the upper 40s to lower 50s. East winds build quickly in the evening with heavy rains likely through the night. Totals with this storm could again end up in the 1-3 inch range. Lows only fall to the low to mid-40s. Confidence: Medium

On Monday the storm passes by, and rains begin to taper off. Winds lighten up during the morning but are likely to be howling out of the northwest by the afternoon. It is possible that parts of the area could climb to near 60 early morning before we drop through the 50s during the day. Confidence: Medium
