KUALA LUMPUR: Police arrested two men and seized drugs worth around RM75,000 here.

       Wangsa Maju OCPD Supt Ashari Abu Samah said a team from the Wangsa Maju Narcotic Crime Investigation Department (NCID) arrested the suspect at around 3pm on Monday (April 11) along Jalan Jalan Ampang Ulu 3.

       "We also seized an orange bag which contained 10 plastic packets containing over 2kg of methamphetamine, a bottle containing 300ml of methamphetamine liquid as well 36g of dried leaves believed to be ganja.

       "About 40 minutes later, our team conducted a follow up operation and arrested another man at the Astoria Ampang lobby," he said in a statement on Tuesday (April 12).

       He said the drugs were worth at least RM74,380.

       "We also seized a Perodua MyVi and Toyota Estima car," he said, adding that both suspects were aged 25 and 33.

       "We believe the two suspects have been active in drug distribution activities since April last year.

       "The two suspects also tested positive for methamphetamine," he said, adding that both suspects have been remanded to help with further investigations.

       He said the case was classified as distributing and possessing drugs.
