       KUWAIT CITY, Sept 26: According to a governmental report issued by the Labor Market Information System (LMIS), the Indian community constituted the highest percentage of those who left the labor market in the first quarter of this year, as the total number of workers decreased to 67,809, including 17,398 domestic workers, reports Al-Qabas daily. The report revealed a high exit rate by Indians, with a total of 21,341, followed by Egyptians with 11,135, and then Bangladeshis with 6,136, just from the private sector.

       As for the family sector (domestic workers and the like), India also topped in the highest exit percentage with 17,398 residents. The number of Indians leaving this sector dropped to 10,169, and Filipinos came second with 2,543 exits. The total number of workers in the labor market as of the end of March reached 1,536,033 non-Kuwaitis, compared to 411,464 citizens, distributed between the private and public sectors. As for the domestic labor sector, the total number of exits as of March was 651,265, which is a decrease of 17,398 compared to the labor market statistics recorded at the end of last year.
