       AFTER a Facebook post by a popiah seller seeking marriage went viral online, the relatives of another hawker in Ipoh, Perak, have also taken to social media in a bid to find him a wife, Sin Chew Daily reported.

       According to his relatives, Russell Kam, 34, sells paper-wrapped chicken in Kampung Simee in the evening as his main job while working as a promoter for meal replacement products and collecting recyclables.

       They said Kam does not smoke or drink, not does he have any bad habits and has never been in a relationship.

       When interviewed, Kam said his relatives could have exaggerated when they claimed that he was looking to get married immediately.

       He said his intention was to get to know women and see if any could blossom into a relationship.

       Since the post was uploaded on April 22, Kam has had over 10 friend requests from women but claimed to be still in contact with only one of them.

       Asked why he had remained single all these years, Kam said he was from an all-boys’ school and hardly had female friends.

       He said his introverted nature also did not help, but he added that should he meet the right person, he would cherish the relationship and take more time off work to spend with his girlfriend.

       “I’m a normal person and I hope to one day have my own family. As for whether I will meet someone, I’ll let fate decide!” he said.

       Chow, 66, who was photographed during a run, was seen greeting a group of candidates waiting to enter the examination hall.

       At first, the students appeared puzzled that a stranger greeted them, but their expressions changed after recognising the actor.

       When the photographs were shared online, many Internet users expressed envy that the students got to meet Chow.

       “They are so lucky,” one Internet user wrote.

       Famous for his roles in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End and A Better Tomorrow, Chow is known for his humble and modest personality.
